R J Dent is a freelance novelist, poet, translator, essayist and short story writer.

His erotic dark fantasy/horror novel Myth was published in 2006.

His poems, short stories, novellas and essays have appeared in numerous magazines and journals, including Writer's Muse, Acumen, Inclement, Orbis, Roundyhouse, Chanticleer and Philosophy Now, to name but a few.

His poetry collection, Moonstone Silhouettes, was published at the start of 2009

He has also translated major works by Alcaeus, Aragon, Apollinaire, Breton, Heine, Lautréamont, Masson and Vesaas.

His latest book is a translation of Charles Baudelaire's The Flowers of Evil, which is published together with Artificial Paradise by Solar Books in 2009.
