The Grid is the story of a boy who has a deep-seated fear of pylons - and how his fear eventually - and perhaps inevitably - leads to destruction.

R J Dent was inspired to write The Grid immediately after reading Skeleton Crew, a superb short story collection by Stephen King, in which some of the more notable stories are The Mist, The Reach, Mrs Todd's Shortcut, The Raft, Word Processor of the Gods, The Ballad of the Flexible Bullet, and Survivor Type, which inspired R J Dent's novella Deliverance, which you can read here:
